July 5, 2017 – The Newark Police Department is investigating
a series of criminal mischief incidents involving vehicle tires being
damaged. On 7/3/17 officers responded to nine different addresses where
victims reported a total of ten vehicles had their tires punctured.
Victims reported that their vehicles were parked on the following roadways when
the damage occurred; Pickett Lane, Kenilworth Avenue, and Sue Lane. The
damage is believed to have occurred between 7/2/17 at 11:00p.m. and 7/3/17 at
3:00a.m. based on the timelines victims provided.
There is no surveillance video available for release at this
time.
Residents are reminded to immediately report any suspicious persons or activity to the Newark Police Department.
