Upcoming Event: Newark Police Department Trading Card Project Kick-Off
What: The City of Newark Police Department (NPD) will kick off its 2017 Trading Card Project. The goal of the trading card project is to foster good community relations and to promote increased, positive interaction between residents and officers.
Officers and civilian employees will each have over 1,000 cards to distribute to members of the public over the course of several weeks. The cards include photographs and biographies of employees as well as specialty cards that highlight police K9s, vehicles, specialized units, and historical facts of the NPD. Prize packages will be raffled off to children who collect complete sets of 100 trading cards. Additional information regarding the contest rules and prizes will be provided the day of the event and will be available online.
