City of Newark's 2016 leaf collection program will run from Monday, October 10 through Friday, December 30, 2016. All leaves must be raked to the curb by Friday, December 23 in order to make the deadline of December 30, 2016. Please rake and pile leaves (no bagging) in the grassplot area between the curb and sidewalk. Do not rake leaves onto the street or curbs. Avoid mixing rocks, sticks or brush with leaves; they may damage collection machinery. Please park vehicles in your driveway on collection day. Leaves obstructed by vehicles will not be collected. Please contact the City of Newark Public Works and Water Resources Department at (302) 366-7000 with any questions or if you are unaware what schedule you fit into. Please note that if a route is not completed on a given day, crews will begin where they left off on that route the following week.
