The City of Newark Parking Division is pleased to remind residents and visitors that off-peak parking rates become effective on Friday, June 16. Hourly rates decrease to $1.00 per hour in off-street municipal lots and $1.25 per hour in on-street parking spaces. The current parking rates will be reflected in the Passport Parking App and at the parking kiosks located in all lots and parking zones. Hourly charges will return to peak rates on August 16. 

Drivers are reminded that the change in parking fees is only applicable to municipal lots and on-street parking kiosks. Privately owned and operated parking lots set their own fees and are not required to follow the City's structure. To view a map of the downtown lots and parking areas, click here.
