The City of Newark municipal offices and Alderman's Court will be closed tomorrow, February 18, due to the predicted hazardous conditions caused by the incoming winter storm. Offices will be closed for drop-offs and staff will be unavailable by phone for non-emergencies.
A Snow Emergency for the City of Newark goes into effect at 10:00 p.m. To assist crews in effectively removing snow from streets, residents are asked to park their cars in their driveway, if possible. Vehicles along the emergency routes after midnight will be towed.
Re-opening plans are dependent upon the effects of the storm. Updates will be posted to TV22 and the City's Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts. Residents are encouraged to sign up for InformMe notifications to receive updates via text, email and phone.
