The City of Newark announces it will open at 10:30 a.m. today, December 17, 2020. Emergency essential employees are to report to work as required, whereas non-essential staff should report at 10:30. Call attendants will be available by phone once buildings are opened.

The decision to open offices on a two-hour delay is based on road conditions and the ability for employees to safely drive to work. The City reminds residents and businesses that sidewalks must be cleared of snow or ice within 24 hours and vehicles may return to off-street parking spaces. Residents are encouraged to visit Snow Central for updates.
