Alderman’s Court, located at 220 South Main Street, is closed to the public effective immediately after a City employee reported experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID-19. Out of an abundance of caution, many staff members are self-isolating and the building will be closed to the public in order to complete a thorough cleaning.

Representatives from Alderman’s Court will contact all individuals scheduled to appear to set a new date. If you have a court date and have questions, please call 302.366.7000.

Walk-in services provided by Parks and Recreation, Payments and Utility Billing and Planning and Development are temporarily suspended. Absentee ballots for the July 28th election will continue to be accepted in the main lobby. 

The closure is expected to last one week with walk-in services resuming on August 3, 2020. Until that time, please pay for business licenses, parking tickets, taxes and utility bills online at newarkde.gov.payments.
