The Rental Housing Workgroup will be holding a public workshop on Thursday, July 25 at 6:30PM in the Council Chambers, Newark Municipal Building.
The Rental Housing Workgroup was formed by City Council to address rental property concerns in the City of Newark. The Workgroup is divided into three Subcommittees to examine issues related to the high demand for rental housing due to student growth, the permitting and management of rental housing, and the need for non-student and affordable rental housing. The ultimate goal of the Workgroup is to develop recommendations for Council’s consideration.
Join Workgroup members to learn more about the Subcommittees and their progress, and to engage in informal, roundtable discussions to provide input. Final recommendations will be presented to City Council in Fall 2019, and will be open for public comment.
