The City of Newark Parks and Recreation Department and the Newark Free Library will host a free Newark Community Volunteer Fair just in time for International Random Acts of Kindness Day! Come out to the Newark Free Library on Sunday, February 17 from 1 - 4 p.m. for prospective volunteers of all ages to learn about volunteer opportunities offered in Newark in 2019. This is a great opportunity for individuals to speak directly with volunteer organizations for more information, fill out volunteer applications or sign up to volunteer for upcoming events and more. The City of Newark will also highlight the 2018 outstanding volunteers for their random acts of kindness in their devotion of volunteer hours to the City of Newark! Your help and dedication to the community are greatly appreciated! Other participating volunteer organizations include: Newark Free Library, Newark Senior Center, Newark Bike Project, White Clay Creek State Park, Tri-State Bird Rescue, Aetna Fire Company, Newark Arts Alliance, Volunteer DE, Sexual Assault Response Center, YWCA DE, Delaware Autism Blood Bank of Delmarva, Junior Board of Christiana and more!
