UPDATE -Arrest Made
May 31, 2018 – The Newark Police have arrested 18-year-old Kyle Wallace of New Castle, DE for the shot fired incident on Wednesday May 30, 2018 in the 400 block of Wollaston Avenue. Officers were able to identify the suspect after several hours of investigating the incident and secured an arrest warrant for Wallace. On today’s date, a New Castle County Police Officer conducted a traffic stop, where Wallace was taken into custody without incident.

Aggravated Menacing
Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
Reckless Endangerment 1st Degree
Disorderly Conduct
Conspiracy 3rd Degree
Wallace is currently in custody at Newark Police Headquarters and is awaiting arraignment on the listed charges.
The investigation is still ongoing.

May 30, 2018 – On Wednesday May 30, 2018 at approximately 1:39 p.m. the Newark Police responded to the 400 block of Wollaston Avenue for a report of a fight between several subjects. During the fight, a male suspect fired one round from a handgun. No one was struck by the gunfire. Several subjects fled in a navy-blue Ford Fusion. One female sustained a minor injury during the fight.
This investigation is in its initial stages and ongoing. Additional details may be released when they become available.
