Due to icy road conditions, the City of Newark will operate on a two-hour delay today, Tuesday, January 9. Non-emergency essential personnel should not report until offices open at 10:30 a.m. Emergency essential personnel are to report as required or scheduled.  

The decision was made to allow crews an opportunity to continue clearing roadways and to give time for the sun to come up and mitigate some of the iciness.
