Due to the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays, Newark Municipal Offices and Alderman's Court will be closed on December 25, December 26, and January 1.

Refuse normally collected on Monday, December 25 will be collected on Tuesday, December 26.  Refuse normally collected on Tuesday, December 26 will be collected on Wednesday, December 27.

Refuse normally collected on Monday, January 1 will be collected on Tuesday, January 2.  Refuse normally collected on Tuesday, January 2 will be collected on Wednesday, January 3.

Please note: The last “Green Wednesday” yard waste collection for the Winter Season is on December 6 and will not resume until March 7, 2018.  

The City will have scheduled collections during this time, please call 302-366-7000 to schedule. Carts that are put out for collection that are not scheduled will not be collected.  

The Leaf Collection Program will continue through Friday, December 29, 2017.  All leaves must be raked to the grassy plot between the curb and the sidewalk by Friday, December 22.

Crews will collect Christmas trees placed at curbs beginning Tuesday, January 2, through Friday, January 26, 2018.  The crews will sweep through the entire city each week during this period.  Please make sure trees are out for collection each week by Tuesday at 7:00 a.m.

Trees will not be collected after January 26, 2018.
