November 13, 2017 – On 11/11/2017 at 6:18p.m. Newark Police responded to Embassy Suites, 654 S. College Avenue, for a report of a robbery that just occurred in one of the hotel rooms.  The victim, a 44 year old male from Barnesville, Ohio, reported that he responded to the room to meet with a female that he had just met through an online advertisement.  The victim stated he was met at the hotel room door by two males who forcibly went through his pockets removing an undisclosed amount of cash. 

Officers arrived at the hotel and set up surveillance on the room where the incident occurred.  Officers eventually observed three males exiting the hotel room and detained them.  After additional investigation, detectives determined that Kevin Bullock and Gerard Stanfield participated in the robbery.  Both suspects were arrested, video arraigned through Justice of the Peace Court 11, and committed to Howard Young Correctional Institution in lieu of $2,000 secured bond.
