From the first week of March to the first week of December, the city collects yard waste on what is commonly called Green Wednesdays. During the winter months, when city-wide collection is discontinued, residents may call Public Works and schedule their yard waste cart be emptied on an upcoming Wednesday.Like household trash and recycling, yard waste must be placed in a city-provided cart (green with brown/tan lid) for automated curbside collection.No Green Wednesday yard waste collections will be completed during weeks with a holiday. Fall leaf collection is not scheduled, nor do neighborhoods have assigned days of the week. Instead, our trucks continuously route through the city during the season. During this time, crews sweep through the city once per week collecting Christmas trees put out at the curb or service road. Please make sure trees are out for collection each week byMonday at 7:00 in the morning. There is no need to call to schedule a Christmas tree collection.
